Almost fifty years among the rugs

Anyone who steps inside sees it right away. Stacks up to the ceiling, chandeliers above, and color everywhere. This is not a showroom with ten rugs on the wall. This is a collection built up over almost fifty years, rug by rug.

Every carpet is knotted by hand. That means months of work per rug and a result that exists nowhere else. No two pieces are the same, not even within the same pattern or the same region.

Our customers come from Amsterdam, from all over the Netherlands and from far beyond. Some are looking for one special rug for their home. Others take their find back to their own country. Are all carpets truly hand knotted?

Yes. Our collection consists of hand knotted and hand woven carpets and rugs. Every piece is made by hand and therefore exists only once.

Which countries do the carpets come from?

Our rugs come from almost every country where knotting and weaving takes place. Think of Persian cities such as Tabriz, Isfahan and Nain, but also Turkey, Morocco, the Caucasus, China, Tibet, India, Pakistan and Afghanistan, and even Dutch and European rugs. We also carry antique and vintage pieces.

Can I easily take my carpet home abroad?

Yes. Many of our customers take their carpet home to their own country. We roll and pack every rug compactly and ready for travel, so it can safely come along as luggage. We also ship worldwide, wherever you live.

Do you also repair and clean carpets?

Yes. In our own studio in Amsterdam we repair and restore hand knotted carpets, from fringes and edges to full restoration of the knotting. We also provide professional cleaning.

Can I order a carpet in my own design and size?

Yes. We have carpets knotted in any design and size. You choose the dimensions, the colors and the pattern. We guide the whole process from first sketch to finished carpet.

Do I get a warranty and can I trade in my carpet?

Yes. Every carpet from our collection comes with a lifetime warranty. You can also always trade in your rug with us, for example when your taste or interior changes. That way your carpet keeps its value.

Can I also rent a carpet?

Yes. For photography, film, styling or an event we rent out carpets for short or longer periods. Contact us for the options and rates.

Do you also buy carpets?

Yes. We buy hand knotted carpets and appraise your rug free of obligation. Drop by the store or send us a photo by email first.
